Christian CND is deeply saddened to announce that our Executive Committee member, Treasurer and dear friend Roger Horne died earlier this month.
Roger was relatively new to the peace movement, having started attending our online Prayer Meetings during lockdown. He soon became a key member of those meetings, blessing others with his prayers and insights.
It didn’t take long before Roger became more involved with our work. He joined the Executive in 2021 and became Co-Chair a year later, helping lead Christian CND as we started our journey towards charitable status. He was also a regular at Ash Wednesday Witnesses and the Friday evening Peace Prayers for Ukraine.
At last year’s AGM Roger became Christian CND Treasurer – a vital role which he was already making his own.
A fuller reflection on Roger’s life will follow in due course. For now we send our prayers to his friends and family. We will continue to campaign for the world he believed in in his honour.
