Please join Christian CND in praying this month as we intercede for issues here and around the world. We believe God has the power to move in all these situations and that prayer goes hand in hand with our campaigning efforts. There are many things to be thankful for as well as issues we want to bring before God.

Situation in Gaza
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to unimaginably horrific – with stories of human suffering emerging all the time. Against this backdrop the majority of the international community continue to press for a ceasefire, but Israel’s allies including the UK and US continue to resist joining the calls. Humanitarian aid is not entering Gaza in anything like the amount required to stave off even worse suffering for the Palestinian people. There are plans to build an emergency pier in the sea to allow more aid in, but it is thought that could take weeks. Earlier in March the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby met Revd Munther Isaac, having previously refused to do so while Revd Isaac was in London.

Pray with us:

  • Pray that there would be an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and that aid would be allowed in vastly increased amounts.
  • Pray that the hostages being held in Gaza would be released.
  • Pray that there would be a calming of tensions in the Occupied West Bank, where Israel continues military raids and mass arrests.
  • Pray for all those who continue to suffer as a result of this situation.
  • Pray for those around the world who are being affected also.

Remembering Roger Horne
Roger Horne was a dear friend to many in Christian CND, a member of our Executive Committee for three years, a previous Co-Chair and most recently Treasurer. We were all deeply shocked and saddened to hear that he had died last month – though we rejoice in the sure and certain knowledge that he has been raised to glory. We give to God thanks for his life and work.

Pray with us:

  • Give thanks for Roger’s life and all he achieved, thank God for bringing him to Christian CND in later life and for his work with us.
  • Pray for Roger’s family and friends, that they would know God’s love and comfort as they mourn.
  • Pray for the Christian CND Exec as we continue to work on a number of projects in which Roger was involved.

War in Ukraine
As the wear in Ukraine continues in a state of virtual stalemate, threats have once again been made by Vladimir Putin regarding Russia’s nuclear weapons capability. There have been media reports on preparations to deal with a nuclear attack, as well as claims from allies of Putin that such an attack is likely.

Pray with us:

  • Pray that this conflict would end soon with a political settlement which brings about a lasting and just peace.
  • Pray for those suffering on both sides of the conflict, that they will be comforted.
  • Pray for those campaigning against this war, especially those in Russia who do so at considerable risk.
