Christian CND AGM 2022

The Christian CND AGM took place on Saturday 1 October. It was originally scheduled to take place in Liverpool but unfortunately due to train strikes we had to move online. Despite that we still had a good turn out from members and supporters.

There was an in-depth discussion about the future priorities and structure of Christian CND, with those in attendance invited to put forward ideas and share their own experiences. These ideas will be taken forward by the Exec in further discussions over the coming months.

We also had time for prayer, focussing on the deeply concerning situation in Ukraine and the threat of the use of nuclear weapons. Contributions included prayers for our political leaders, for those living in the region under the threat of nuclear weapons and those who are fighting and refusing to fight on both sides, as well as their families.

During the formal business of the AGM the new Executive Committee was announced. We’re delighted to be welcoming Heather Kiernan from Scotland to the Exec, as well as returning Exec members Kelvin Gascoyne and Sue Bruno. You can find the full list of the Exec here.

We’re already looking forward to visiting Liverpool next year, where our AGM will take at the C3 Church at the start of October.
