The global prayer movement Thy Kingdom Come is taking place again this year, starting on Ascension Day and running through to Pentecost (26 May – 5 June). Millions of Christians from around the world will taking part to pray together – the first time for three years that the event will take place without Covid-19 restrictions in place in the UK
This year Christian CND is holding our two regular Zoom prayer meetings during the time of Thy Kingdom Come, and also hosting a 12 hour prayer room on Saturday 28 May. The day has been divided into 30 min slots, so if you would like to lead a slot and pray for a country, person or theme, do get in touch.
In praying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ we all commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities.

Throughout the ten day period Christian CND encouraging our members and supporters to join us ion praying for peace around the world. As war rages in Ukraine, with the accompanying threat of nuclear conflict, there has never been a more important time to focus our prayers on nuclear disarmament.
But against the background of dispair, there is also hope. The first meeting of states which have joined the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons takes place in Vienna at the end of June, and the international community will gather in New York for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference in August. Both of these will be opportunities to make progress towards genuine security for the world without nuclear weapons.
Our involved in Thy Kingdom Come this year includes our usual monthly online Prayer Meetings. If you’ve never been to one of our Zoom gatherings before they are free to attend but we do ask that you register first. The Prayer Meetings will be taking place at noon on Monday 17 May and 8pm on Thursday 20 May.
