6 August – Hiroshima Day in Tavistock Square London
Around 15 people attended the Interfaith prayers for the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and for victims of nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands and elsewhere. There was a lot of interest in the Christian CND stall which featured information, leaflets and newsletters.
The annual Hiroshima Day Commemoration held by London Region CND featured Interfaith speakers, secular speakers, and music ranging from traditional, folk, opera and rap. The event was followed by a picnic in the sunshine. Thank you to all who helped organise the event, and all who attended.
