Thy Kingdom Come

Christian CND Joins “Thy Kingdom Come” Global Prayer Movement

Christian CND is once again joining millions of believers worldwide for Thy Kingdom Come, a global ecumenical initiative running from 14-24 May 2026. This movement invites Christians to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.

Our focus this year is on the Fruit of the Spirit, as described by St Paul in Galatians 5. We believe that God’s Kingdom is rooted in love, justice, and peace – a vision we find incompatible with the possession or threatened use of nuclear weapons.

A Daily Prayer Journey

We have produced a dedicated daily prayer guide to help you reflect on how the Fruit of the Spirit intersects with our mission for peace:

  • Love (15 May): Recognising that threatening others with mass destruction is not a loving act.
  • Peace (17 May): Seeking “Shalom” – not just the absence of war, but the presence of justice.
  • Patience (18 May): Persisting in prayer even after 56 years of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
  • Self-control (23 May): Praying specifically for political and military leaders who bear responsibility for nuclear arsenals.
