Members of Christian CND draw strength and encouragement from the love of God in Christ Jesus. We know we cannot be separated from that love; even when we confront the dangerous reality of nuclear weapons in our world, speaking up when it can feel awkward. And even when we are dismissed as naïve, as ‘sheep’.
Pray with us
Father God, when the challenge of abolishing nuclear weapons feels too hard, restore our trust in your great love, already poured out for us in Jesus, Your Son.
Lord Jesus, give us confident words and actions to help us share the good news of Your Kingdom of peace with the people we meet.
Lord of life, in this year of the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we put our faith in you, not in threats of complete destruction. May our witness encourage Christians everywhere to stand against nuclear weapons in prayer and action.
