Join us for our August Prayer Meetings

Please join Christian CND in praying this month as we intercede for issues here and around the world. We believe God has the power to move in all these situations and that prayer goes hand in hand with our campaigning efforts. There are many things to be thankful for as well as issues we want to bring before God.

Remembering Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted – Matthew 5:4
At the start of August we will join the global peace movement in pausing to remember those who died in and suffered as a result of, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. As well as reflecting on the devastation caused by nuclear weapons we also remember those who experienced the attack first-hand and have dedicated their lives to working for peace. Christian CND will hold our annual service of remembrance in Essex, as well as an online vigil.
Please pray with us
Thank God for the many opportunities to reflect on the bombings
Pray for those who continue to live with the effects of the bombs
Pray for the events taking place around UK

Christian CND at Greenbelt Festival
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy – Matthew 5:7

Christian CND will be attending Greenbelt at the end of August, as part of our outreach to Christians. We have been for the previous two years and we’re looking forward to going back and having some good conversations with those in attendance.
Please pray with us
Thank God for the opportunity for CCND to attend Greenbelt
Pray that we would have a fruitful time at Greenbelt
Thank God for the volunteers staffing the stall

Situation in Gaza
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up – Galations 6:9As Israel continues to bomb Gaza relentlessly, hundreds of thousands of people continue to seek shelter, despite the risks of being bombed even when in areas which have been designated safe. The killing of leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah have not only set back efforts to seek a peaceful settlement but also escalated the risk of a much wider regional conflict. The UN and aid agencies have warned that more than half the population of Gaza could be dead from famine within weeks as an Israeli blockade continues, with some settlers attacking aid convoys.
Please pray with us
Pray for an immediate ceasefire and aid sufficient to meet the humanitarian crisis
Pray for peaceful hearts to prevail in the region
Pray for immediate release of the hostages
Pray that God would be with those suffering in Gaza
Pray for the children, living in constant fear in Gaza

Please keep the Christian CND staff team and Exec in your prayers.
