Christian CND had hoped to be gathering in Liverpool in October for our AGM. Owing to the planned railway strikes we have decided instead to move online, and return to Liverpool next year!
During the AGM we will hear from Dr Becky Alexis-Martin, a lecturer in Human Geography at Manchester Metropolitan University. Dr Alexis-Martin will speak about her research into nuclear related issues around the globe and the experience of those who have been victims of nuclear weapons, including those who suffer as a result of the UK nuclear tests in the pacific.
There will also be a chance to hear from local activists on campaigning activity in Liverpool, along with the usual workshops and time for prayer. We’ll enjoy fellowship together over lunch (please bring your own) and have space to hear your views on Christian CNDs work and what our priorities should be for the coming year.
During the formal AGM part of the day the new Christian CND Executive Committee will be announced alongside the usual business of the AGM.
