Christian CND Development Manager Russell Whiting appeared on the Radio 4 programme Sunday to discuss the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to ICAN, with whom Christian CND works closely.
Russell spoke about the need for the UK and the other nuclear weapons states to come together and sign the Treaty as the first step towards the destruction of nuclear weapons arsenals around the globe. While the Ban Treaty, supported by more than 120 UN Member States offers a chance to fulfil the long-held ambition of a world free of nuclear weapons, the UK continues to oppose it.
