At Christmas we celebrate the coming of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Born in a stable and now seated in heaven at the Father’s right hand. The message of Christmas causes us to focus again on our work for peace.
The past year has seen some progress made as we continue to work and pray for a nuclear-weapons free world. States continue to sign and ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. It is hoped that the Treaty, which will ban nuclear weapons in the same way as chemical and biological weapons have previously been banned, will come into force in 2020.
Christian CND has been busy during the past 12 months. You can read what else we have been doing in our Annual Report.
In 2020 there will be much more to do. Christian CND will be marking our 60th anniversary with a series of events planned, including a public meeting tour which will include an exhibition of our history and looking forward to what we can do as Christians to bring about peace now.
Please consider supporting our work with a donation this Christmas to help us as we continue to seek a nuclear weapons-free world and a future based on peace and genuine security underpinned by the love of Christ.
There are other ways you can support the work of Christian CND.
We wish you a peaceful and blessed Christmas.
