Christian CND is a specialist section of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Christian CND provides a focus for Christians who want to witness on the basis of their faith against nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, while also positively campaigning for peace
We are run by an Executive Committee of volunteers, who are elected annually at our Annual General Meeting, alongside two Co-Chairs (currently Bridget Tiller and Roger Horne). The organisation is run in accordance with the constitution, which was updated in March 2021.
Over the years, we have organised many conferences and meetings at the local, national and international level, as well as acts of protest, liturgies and services at military bases and government sites. Being seen publicly is only one aspect of our work: we are also engaged in letter writing, lobbying and educating for peace and disarmament. You can find some recent photos here.
In some parts of the country we have local groups, and we work closely with all Christian justice and peace organisations, on nuclear issues as well as working alongside Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
